Course Overview 2024

Capital to Coast loves delivering the best trails in the region for your running enjoyment!

The 2024 event will offer all the favourite stages from previous years, with some changes and tweaks to a couple stages to treat our runners to a more exciting and rewarding weekend.

Changes in 2024 – there will be changes to two legs in 2024, as follows:

Stage 4 – based on runner feedback from last year, we are making some changes to this stage. It will be held in the vicinity of Braidwood, so we are still based in Braidwood on the Saturday evening for accommodation and meals.

Stage 7 – we are not able to access the Deep Creek Dam precinct near Mogo this year, so we are sending out scouts for a new coast leg to replace this one. The new stage will be held somewhere near Mogo, so in the same part of the coast.

Course Details – stages range in distance from 8-15km with a variety of terrain to suit all trail running experience levels.

Prologue (Friday 23 August) start held in Canberra at Stromlo Forest Park, the heart of the local trail running community.

Stages 1-4 (Saturday 24 August) commencing in the outskirts of Canberra at Kowen Forest and finishing in the vicinity of Braidwood.

Stages 5-8 (Sunday 25 August) commencing near Braidwood at Monga National Park and ending at the South Coast along Mills Beach.

Please see below for the stages with check-in/start/cut-off times, locations, course descriptions, maps, profiles, and GPX files. Updated information for stages 4 and 7 will be added once they are confirmed.
