Event Testimonials

Capital to Coast is a great event – but don’t just take our word on it!

Here are a few testimonials from runners who have completed the event in previous years.

Capital to Coast is such a unique event, and one of the very best I have participated in! The trails are so beautiful and varied, through farmland, forests, mountains and beaches. The multi stage format creates a friendly festival atmosphere throughout the weekend that is so rewarding. Thinking back on it long after the event, you begin to realise that you have been part of something very special.

I have such fond memories of Capital to Coast – the friendliest event I’ve ever been part of. At each stage every last runner is clapped through the finish line before the group moves off to the next stage. The last legs each day in particular are stunning – finishing at Murramarang Beach on the first and running from Hyams to Huskisson on the second is pretty special! I’m so glad it’s back for 2019 and wouldn’t miss it for anything.

Capital to Coast is a cracking great event, three days with a top group of trail runners covering trails we’d never normally reach. Backing up with multiple stages each day takes its toll, and I’ve only run it as a team, so major kudos to the solo runners! Sailing through the treetops and capturing the first glimpse of the ocean is a fantastic experience, and the finish on Hyams beach is a great memory and one of the best finishes. I’m looking forward to returning in 2019 and giving it another shot!!!

The Capital to Coast really has something for everyone. You can take on the epic solo challenge of 100kms or run as many legs as you like as part of a team, there are plenty of hills to test the legs, even a downhill sprint. The scenery is spectacular and you get to places that are off the beaten track but close enough to ensure you still get your morning coffee fix. The smiling faces at the end of each of the legs and the camaraderie on the trail mean I’ll definitely be back.
