Lace up your best treads and get ready for a very special stage, millions of years in the making, in the Molonglo Gorge Nature Reserve. The first half of the stage gently ascends up the fire trail and into the pine forests. The second half picks up the breathtaking single track that follows the rocky high side of the gorge all the way along the river and back to the picnic start/finish area.

Terrain: Firetrails and rocky technical single track

Warning: The single track along the gorge is the most technically challenging section of the event. Progress with extra care for yourself and your fellow runners. We have allowed a more generous cutoff for this stage. Please slow down a little, it will last longer, you’ll enjoy it more.
